A Shamrockin' Good Time!

Céad míle fáilte! This Labor Day weekend, join the Newport Yachting Center in celebrating all things Celtic at the Newport Waterfront Irish Festival, one of the largest Irish festivals in the country. Paint the town green as the Emerald Isle sends some of its most entertaining exports and expats to Newport.   Kick up your heels and let your Irish lilt ring loud with traditional Irish step-dance, comedy routines, and the spirited sounds of nonstop authentic Irish music, which in the past has included such acclaimed acts as Calley McGrane & The Exiles, The Killdares, The Makem & Spain Brothers, The Screaming Orphans, The Town Pants, Black 47, Eileen Ivers, The Glengarry Bhoys, and many, many more! Enjoy spirited song and dance in our covered Main Stage concert venue, offering over 400 seats out of the sun and weather. With the luck o' the Irish you'll find Guinness on tap; don a cap from the marketplace, and you'll be leapin' like a leprechaun in no time. Even the wee folk in your clan can show their Irish colors in the "Rainbow's End" kidSTOP! May the road to Newport rise up to meet you at this year's assortment of shenanigans!

Check back soon on our Happenings page for more on what to expect from this year’s festivities, as well as our Entertainment page for the full entertainment lineup and a sneak peek at some of our featured acts for 2010.
