Oktoberfest on the Waterfront – our official sendoff to summer, and salute to the arrival of autumn, has found a new home on the Providence Waterfront at India Point Park! Join us for our annual reunion of friends enjoying the tastes, sights, and sounds of our little Bavaria in Rhode Island. Seasonal brews, and savory German cuisine compliment the lively and spirited sound of music spilling from the Biergartens. PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS A 21+ EVENT.

Prost at the International Oktoberfest! This exclusive ticket grants you all-day and night admission to the International Oktoberfest, access to the open-air Prost Private Lounge with cocktail service, a private beer bar, a flight sampling of 4 Oktoberfest brews, the official Oktoberfest mug, and a bratwurst from the Brat Bar for an authentic German treat with all the fixings. Everything you need to enjoy the Oktoberfest is available with the Prost Pass. Tickets are $85 and quantities are VERY limited.
THINGS TO DO
Toast! Join us Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm for our traditional tale of the origins of Oktoberfest dating back to 1810 in old Bavaria. A special guest will officially get the beer flowing for the weekend. Prost!
Stein Hoisting Event Think you can hoist a full liter stein longer than anyone else? The Stein Hoisting Competition returns to the International Oktoberfest! on Saturday, October 17th. We log everyone’s time to see how each person stacks up against your fellow beer lovers and the winner gets cool prizes and bragging rights!
Fireball Designs will be offering airbrush tattoos for as little as $5! Choose from countless designs or customize your own.

Performers throughout the weekend include:
-A German-American dance show band that features both modern and traditional Alpine sounds of Europe, and a tip of their hats to American party favorites
- HSV Bavaria Folk Dancers,
A group of dancers, musicians, bellringers and yodelers, will introduce Oktoberfest fans to a variety of Tyrolian and Bavarian dance and culture.
- Also featuring Mike’s Bavarian Bandstand, spinning German, Polka music, and beer drinking songs as well as a variety of music to fit the occasion with the personality to entertain the crowds along with local party bands performers- Brian Scott Band
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: IS THERE AN AGE MINIMUM FOR THE EVENT?
A: Due to India Point Park policies regarding alcohol and consumption the event will be 21 plus this year. Valid identification must be presented when you enter the event.
Q: HOW DO I GET MY TICKETS AND WHEN IS WILL CALL OPEN?
A: It’s easy to get your tickets! The fastest way to get your tickets is to order online and print them right at home. To order by phone call Ticketmaster 1.800.745.3000. To order in advance at the box office please click here for location and hours. Day-of ticket sales and Will Call will be available at the box office at India Point Park, located right near the event entrance, beginning at 10am on both days of the event.
Q: IF IT RAINS, DOES THE EVENT GO ON?
A: Of course! The event is rain or shine and you are welcome to bring an umbrella if it does rain.
Q: MY TICKET SAYS “GA”. ARE THERE ANY SEATS AT THE EVENT OR CAN I BRING A CHAIR OR BLANKET?
A: “GA” refers to General Admission. While we do have limited seating at our food & beverage areas, we do not have reserved seating at the event and we do not have seating in front of the stage. This is a general admission “standing room/festival style” event. You are welcome to bring a blanket or chair with you to enjoy the event however we do not allow them to be set up in certain areas of the event such as in front of the stage, for safety reasons.
Q: CAN I RE-ENTER THE EVENT IF I LEAVE?
A: Yes! You will be able to re-enter the event throughout the day and night.
Q: CAN I BRING MY OWN GLASSWARE INTO THE EVENT?
A: Yes! You can bring your own glassware into the event. Bartenders will not pour directly into your glass but you are welcome to transfer your drink into your own glass. There will also be glassware available for purchase at the event.
Q: CAN I BRING A COOLER OR MY OWN FOOD AND BEVERAGE INTO THE EVENT?
A: We do not allow coolers, large bags or outside food and beverage into the event. If you do need a large bag to be brought into the event it will be subject to a search upon entry and items not permitted into the event will need to be removed. Q: ARE PETS WELCOME AT THE FESTIVAL?
A: We love those furry friends, but unless they are certified assistance service animals unfortunately we cannot allow them inside the event.
