Over $10,000 in prize money and awards is given away throughout the event! That’s a lot of clams, so ballots are counted and verified by the local CPA firm of Tofias. For anyone interested in competing in 2010, please contact mmartin@newportyachtingcenter.com or rtravis@newportyachtingcenter.com. Prizes are awarded in the following categories:

Without the fine restaurants involved in the Great Chowder Cook-Off, there would be no event. As a show of thanks, each restaurant is called to the main stage prior to the awards presentation and receives an exclusive Chowder Cook-Off Tote Bag filled with sponsor gifts and mementos of the event. Additionally, each award-winning restaurant receives a framed award to recognize their restaurant, a bottle of champagne and prize money!

Great Chowder Cook-Off Hall of Fame

Since we began, there have been many chowder cook-off champions (list of our friends here). But only the cream of the crop can be inducted into this Hall of Fame. How to make the list?
