There’s more to the Great Chowder Cook-Off than the invigorating waterfront location, the infectious enthusiasm and spirit of friendly competition, and, of course, the endless supply of some of the world’s finest chowders and clam cakes... The International Chowder Championship also boasts children’s activities and three stages of live entertainment!

Colors presented by the RI Army National Guard; come join Clyde the Clam and special guests as we cut the ribbon to open up the gates!

CHIVA BUS

A world music band, Chiva Bus provides a journey featuring the music of classic and contemporary Cuban, Brazilian, and Cape Verdean artists blended with classic American blues, rock, and Motown.

THE RAVERS

The Ravers are a six-piece Reggae band with a 16 year history performing roots rock, reggae and originals. Come join the party in the open air courtyard.

Chowder Awards Ceremony

Presentation of the winners in each of the categories, as well as some special awards of distinction. Join special guest presenters including Channel 12 News Anchors Tony Petrarca and Karen Adams for the unveiling of the 2009 International Chowder Champions!

HANNA-MAIN

Rob Hanna and Kevin Main perform popular music, acoustically, from the 60’s on up - with an original spin. You can expect to hear tunes from The Beatles, Phish, Led Zeppelin, Counting Crows, Dave Matthews Band, Talking Heads, Neil Young, Bob Marley, and many others.

BUDDY'S BEACH HOUSE

If you like the music of Jimmy Buffet, Kenny Chesney, Jonathan Edwards, James Taylor and more, you will enjoy the acoustic sounds of this seasoned musical duo. With guitars and mandolins, the sounds of a Beach House Party will fill the air!
