CELTIC ROCK FESTIVAL

Newport Waterfront Events is taking a new approach to celebrating Irish music and culture with the debut of a one-day Celtic Rock Festival!  It’s not your traditional Irish Festival!  We’ve invited some of the best from our Irish Fest weekend giving them the spotlight in the summer for a full day of continuous progressive Celtic music on Newport’s waterfront.  Oh yes, the Guinness will be flowing! The shenanigans include some of your favorite Irish marketplace vendors, Irish pub fare, lively step dancers and the distinctive pipe & drum bands.  Stay tuned for more details as we craft this new music festival!

Note:  the Newport Waterfront Irish Festival will not be returning on Labor Day weekend in 2012.  We tip our hats to the many years of our Irish cultural celebration and look forward to welcoming this Celtic Rock format to our festival lineup. We hope you will too!
