festival season at the Newport Yachting Center. So
get excited, folks: Tickets are on sale now! While
our Box Office doesn’t fully open until May, you can

We’ve got just the remedy for your winter blues: Our
summer blues! And on that note, we’re giddily proud to announce the first four confirmed acts of the 2010 Series! John Hiatt & The Combo come to Newport on Saturday, June 26 to kick things off, followed by Boz Scaggs on Friday, July 2, both returning veterans from our 2008 Series. Next up are the ever-eclectic darlings of alternative rock, CAKE, on Saturday, July 17, and rock ‘n’ roll stalwarts George Thorogood & The Destroyers roar into town to ignite our waterfront tent on Friday, July 30. And you, loyal reader, are among the first to learn that tickets for Boz Scaggs go on sale TODAY - click here to claim some of the best seats in the house before word gets out! Tickets for the remaining 3 shows are slated to go on sale next week, so stay tuned for on-sale announcements and of course for more additions to our 2010 lineup as they’re confirmed.
The kick-off to summer in Newport is back! The legendary international chowder championships return in 2010, and the competition is thicker than ever! We’ve recently confirmed that each of our 2009 Chowder Champions will be returning to defend their coveted titles in 2010. That’s right, crowd-pleasers Tony’s Cedar Key Clam Chowder (Cedar Key, FL), Blue Mermaid Chowder House (San Francisco, CA), and Michael’s Seafood (Carolina Beach, NC) all hope to churn out winning chowder recipes and keep new up-and-comers at bay.
